Mays Family Therapy is a small private practice, comprised of a group of providers who offer therapy, counseling, and support that is client-focused and family-centered. We have clinicians who are licensed in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.

Dr. Janeen Cross

DSW, MBA, LICSW / LCSW-C

Dr. Cross is the founder and owner of Mays Family Therapy, supervising a group of licensed clinicians. Dr. Cross’ experience includes inpatient medical social work services and outpatient therapy and behavioral health services. Dr. Cross has over 20 years of experience completing clinical assessments, counseling, and intervention services with clients. Dr. Cross is a Mental Health First Aid certified instructor for adults. She also teaches graduate level social work courses and facilitates workshops and professional presentations for numerous professional organizations.

Rose-Farrah Armand

MSW, LCSW

A Master’s of Social Work graduate of Howard University with a deep passion for young adults accessing and utilizing mental wellness resources. Rose works to create a safe, welcoming, and collaborative space for all who embark on the therapy journey. Rose is exploring specialities in the areas of Trauma, Grief & Loss, and Couples Counseling. Rose is licensed at the master’s level in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Nia Gibbs-Francis

Nia Gibbs-Francis

LMSW, MPH

Nia is licensed at the master’s level in Maryland with experience working with a variety of populations including children with behavioral concerns, survivors of domestic violence, adolescents, military children, and youth respondents in the juvenile justice system. Nia has also worked with the COVID-19 pandemic emergency response. She customizes evidence-based, clinical interventions with clients to achieve mutually agreed upon goals. She has a true passion for helping others elevate to the best version of themselves and works diligently to cultivate a safe space and welcoming environment.
